Chiara Cerami is senior researcher at the University School for Advanced Studies (IUSS) in Pavia. She graduated at the University of Palermo in Medicine and Surgery and then she specialized in Neurology. From 2011 to 2018 Neurology Physician Assistant in the Neurorehabilitation Unit, Department of Clinical Neuroscience, San Raffaele Hospital in Milan and Post-Doc Research Fellow at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele and San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan (Unit of Structural and Molecular Imaging in vivo in humans). Principal Investigator for a research project funded by Fondazione Eli-Lilly Cariplo on the study of new biomarkers of functional and molecular imaging for the early diagnosis of Alzheimers disease (2012-2017). Co-Investigator for a young researcher project funded by the Italian Ministry of Health (GR-2011-0235094) on the study of the efficacy of combined non-pharmacological treatments in individuals with subjective cognitive decline (2015-2018). From 2018 to 2019 she carried out clinical and research activities at the Maugeri Clinical-Scientific Institutes of Pavia. Cognitive neuroscience, clinical neuropsychology and cognitive neurorehabilitation are the main areas of her scientific interest. Current research activity is focused on the investigation of anatomo-functional correlates of cognitive-behavioral alterations in neurodegenerative diseases, and in particular of social cognition disorders in dementia.
